Friday at the park

Every few weeks we have a nice day. Friday was cloudy, but it was warm(er) than it has been, so we took a trip to the park.

Molley enjoyed the ride in her carrier.

Photographer in training.

Such great work.

 Checking his shot.

Another angle.

"Look at the little flowers! They are so cute!" said my precious boy.

It's time for spring to come and to stay.

March Snowday

What do you do with 9 inches of snow on March 25th?  After you yell at Old Man Winter "It's Spring!!! There shouldn't be snow in my garden!" and then get over the fact that you'll have an extra day of school added to the end of the year, you go play!

First, you watch your husband roll a huge snowball. You think he's making snowman, but no, he's making a slide out of snow, complete with steps. Then you watch your husband push your kid down the slide on his sled and look at the smile on your kids face. Completed by watching your husband go down the slide too.

Snow in March might not be so bad. Of course sun in March isn't so bad either. :)

8 months

Age: Molley is 8 months old
Weight: 21ish pounds

Length: 28 inches
Sizes: She is in size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes. She can still wear size 1 shoes.

Eyes: They are starting to changing from blue grey color to a brown.
Hair: Dark brown...it's getting longer!
Sleeping: We're still working on that. Some nights she gets up once, some nights she is up twice. Someday I'll sleep through the night again other than when she spends the night at Nene's house.
Eating: She takes 6oz every 3hrs. She eats 3 meals of solids a day. She also eats some finger foods - peas, puffs, and loves honey wheat pretzels.
Milestones: She can eat food out of the pouches now. I hold it for her, and she can get it all out by herself. Kind of nice to dirty fewer dishes.
Memorable outings: We've spent most of the month at my mom's house helping do some remodeling, so no fun outings this month. Plus, it's been darn cold!
Favorite toys/activities:  She is a huge fan of anything that she can put in her mouth, and anything that he big brother is playing with.
Words/sounds: Still likes to sing, or scream. Depends on her mood.
Nicknames: Sweet Pea, Molley-Molls (that's what they call her at school), MuMu
Funny moments: Molley does not like loud noises. Poor girl must have jumped a foot while we were banging to get floors up. We also had a heck of a time getting this months picture. I think she'll be a girly girl - she spent more time trying to get the shoes off the bear than she did smiling at me.

Looking forward to: I'll kick myself later for saying this, but crawling. I think David will love it when she moves around even more. Or hate it if she takes his cars. :)

5 years

5 years ago, I married my best friend. In the past 5 years, many things have changed, but so many things have stayed the same.

There is still no one who I would rather spend my time with.

No one I would rather complain to about clothes all over the room, or leaving no toilette paper in the bathroom.

There is still no one who I would rather have dinner with, even if he does add cheese to almost everything I cook.

There is no one how fits in better with my crazy family.

There is still no one who I would rather see at the end of a long day, or even the end of a short one.

There is no one else who I would rather share my secrets with.

No one who I would rather laugh with or cry with at all hours of the day.

There is no one who I would rather see playing with our two wonderful children. No one else who could be a better dad to David and Molley.

There is no one who I would rather be on the crazy ride with.

Cheers Nate, to five amazing years together, and many more years to come.
